Zoë Tavares Bennett
Zoë is a writer based in Los Angeles, California. She is the author of the historical novel The Sun of God and the YA novel My Sister’s Best Friend.
Other popular works include Blurred Lines and Anatomy of Love, which can be read on Wattpad. When she is not writing, Zoë enjoys reading fantasy novels, such as Leigh Bardugo’s Six of Crows, Harry Potter, and anything Tolkien. She also loves reading the classics—her favorites are Jane Austen’s Persuasion, Alexander Dumas’ The Count of Monte Cristo, and Virginia Woolf’s To the Lighthouse. Her guilty pleasure is D.H. Lawrence, who has greatly influenced her writing.
Zoë recently graduated from Williams College with a degree in Classics, specializing in Ancient Greek and Latin. Her favorite ancient authors include Homer, Sappho, Seneca, and Livy. She is a proud Centrista, having studied abroad in Rome at the Intercollegiate Center of Classical Studies. Aside from Greek and Latin, Zoë speaks Portuguese (being half-Portuguese herself), Spanish, and is learning Italian and German.
